If you have to do a full investigative report on something that is a year old and was never reported, it's probably none of your goddamn business. Marvin Harrison is a man and should have been there last year to help the colts win another one. Are we not innocent until proven guilty. Appparently, according to the nfl, we are only innocent until mass media sniffs a story. Seriously, whos trying to say the man wasnt in theleague last year cause he cant play anymore. BS. all of it Comment by daniel — July 28, 2010 at 5:45am

Interesting articles. Not judging anyone, but I would try my hardest to keep my nose clean if I was getting paid that much to play sports. Comment by Clinton Chizinski — July 28, 2010 at 5:52am

Marvin: You can take a boy out of the 'hood but you can't take the 'hood out of the boy. And before anyone gets righteous that same standard applies regardless of race. It's tragic really. The guy was always such a powerful talent that went about his business in a humble manner. He should have been on the field and not in that neighborhood.
Innocent until proven guilty is right Daniel. I agree. Let's not put him on the gallows yet. Lots of hater scumbags in Philly want nothing more than to take Marvin down because of his success. Let's see how it plays out. Comment by CBOS — July 28, 2010 at 6:22am

You are indeed innocent until proven guilty, but that's relegated to the courts daniel. The justice system's high standards does it make prone to mistakes: are you going to tell me O.J. is innocent? I don't think the reasonable doubt standards locks society into accepting every outcome of politically savvy, re-election minded prosecutors and judges. Social disapprobation is a tool we can use. Kick up enough dirt, and someone just may pay attention.

I try to keep my questions for rest days... So guys, if whenever I'm bench/pressing something, I find my lift is suffering in the middle. What muscle group do I need to strengthen to fix this? The top/bottom aren't limiting me currently. Comment by IanT — July 28, 2010 at 6:53am
7.
IanT, There's a couple things you can do to get thru that sticking point: Build more speed off of your chest. Make sure you’re driving your feet into the floor. Add chains into your program (this is what helps me the most). Try to push THROUGH your sticking point, not into it. And add more rear delt, trap and external rotator work into your program.
A simple search online will show you that there are a ton of people that share the same problem while others get stuck at the bottom or can't lockout at the top. You'll find tips and tricks all over the place, but your main focus should be to work on your rear delts and traps and vary your workout load with chains and resistance bands which will help trigger growth through those stick points.

Chris, I'm 31, been playing rugby off and on for 12 years. started CFFB two seasons ago and the last two seasons have been the most fun I've had on the pitch. This is the place to be ruggers, especially if you're a loose forward Comment by JB — July 28, 2010 at 8:57am

First off, The Dirtiest Player is a really well written article. Well done Jason. As for the article itself, to me, it is a cluster f**k of human nature and the exploitation of conflicts and struggles that parallel being raised in poverty. I don't think there is a finger to point. Hard to let go of your roots.

If I could fight anyone it would have to be Usama Bin Laden. At 6'6", 160lbs he has some reach on me but I'd use my clinch game and take him to the ground were I would rain down an ungodly firestorm of elbows on his ugly mug. Thanks for the rugby article John. Cool stats!
@chris chase: A lot of teams have 2nds or 3rds teams where older/new players play. If you feel like you're in good shape I say "go for it." It's an awesome game. Some teams/leagues also have 'old timer' teams for guys over 30 or 40. Enjoy! Comment by Jon — July 29, 2010 at 7:11pm
